No; I don't mean "back slide"! I mean fall is back. I mean fall back with your clock. Daylight saving time ends. The leaves are falling. The weather is changing. It is a beautiful time of year. It is time to look back or reflect on all the things we did this summer. It is time to hurry to finish all the chores we didn't get finished. It is time to take that walk you and your spouse have talked about for the past six months. How about that day trip you have been putting off until cooler weather?

 

It is certainly beautiful outside. But what is most important is what's going on inside. With all the busy-ness of summer, have you maintained your relationship with Our Lord? With vacations and cook outs and visiting family, perhaps you have missed a few worship services. Or perhaps, due to the busy-ness, you haven't prayed enough or read the Bible as much as you used to. Not to fret! God is standing with open arms to welcome you back!

As a friend once said, " I was so anxious to see you, I looked a hole through the door just watching for you!"
